Join Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC) as we are launching an exciting new Bottle Bill processing facility in Bangor! We are seeking a hands-on, night-shift Production Manager to help drive safety, efficiency, and team development in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The Production Manager is responsible for leading employees in assigned production areas to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals. This role plays a key part in developing employees, enforcing policies and procedures, and ensuring efficient daily operations.
 
Job Type:
  • Full-time.

Shift:
  • Monday-Friday.
  • 4:00pm–1:00am (depending on operational needs and volume).

Functions & Responsibilities:
The Production Manager will:
  • Ensure all safety standards are taught, followed, and enforced consistently.
  • Lead and support a team of production employees (bag dumpers, machine operators, forklift operators, etc.) of up to 10 employees.
  • Assign work areas, cross-train employees, and maintain regular communication with staff.
  • Step into operational roles as needed to support production.
  • Communicate issues, concerns, and opportunities to the Operations Manager.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and safety.
  • Track, analyze, and report production and performance metrics.

Job Requirements:
The skills you need to succeed:
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience (industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or warehouse environments preferred).
  • Forklift experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and people-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
  • Maintenance experience is a plus.

  • Competitive pay based on experience (DOE).

Maine Recycling currently acts as a pickup and processing agent for some of the largest beverage manufacturers in Northern New England. Our fleet of 30 trucks with over 200 trailers enables us to provide statewide pickup services for both new and existing beverage distributors in Maine. MRC currently employs 80 to 100 employees operating from our Lisbon Falls and Bangor locations. MRC has now expanded and opened a Redemption Center, Speedy Redemption, in Topsham, Maine.
