Join us at Maine Recycling Corporation (MRC) as we are launching an exciting new Bottle Bill processing facility in Bangor! We're looking for a hands-on Production Lead to help drive safety, efficiency, and team development. As the Production Lead, you will direct the development of workers in the assigned production areas to meet safety, quality, and production goals. You will instruct and ensure that all policies and procedures are being administered in a safe and timely manner. You will assist in developing workers to ensure the most efficient operations within your production area.

Job Type:
  • Full-time.

Shift:
  • Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. 
  • No Weekends, No Overnights.

Functions & Responsibilities:
The role of Production Lead:
  • Ensure all safety standards are taught and followed consistently.
  • Provide leadership to a team of employees (bag dumpers, machine operators, forklift operators..).
  • Assign work areas, cross-train employees, and maintain consistent interaction.
  • Step in across roles when necessary to support operations.
  • Communicate issues and concerns promptly to manager.
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements.

 Job Requirements:
The skills you need to succeed:
  • The ability to work in a “Team” environment.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Good organizational and people skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Maintenance experience is a plus.

Pay:
  • Starting at $22/hr.

Maine Recycling currently acts as a pickup and processing agent for some of the largest beverage manufacturers in Northern New England. Our fleet of 30 trucks with over 200 trailers enables us to provide statewide pickup services for both new and existing beverage distributors in Maine. MRC currently employs 80 to 100 employees operating from our Lisbon Falls and Bangor locations. MRC has now expanded and opened a Redemption Center, Speedy Redemption, in Topsham, Maine.
